Impression products
In our impression category, we offer you an extensive range of high-quality materials, instruments and aids. With these impression materials, dental practices and laboratories can deliver high-quality and efficient results and thus offer patients high-quality care.
Impression materials for dentists and laboratories
Dental practices and laboratories require a variety of impression materials to provide patients with the best possible care. To do this, the dental assistant or dentist creates a spatial negative of the oral situation or teeth. This impression is then poured in the dental or dental laboratory and a plaster model is produced, which is used for the manufacture of dentures, orthodontic appliances or grinding splints.
Alginate impression material
Alginate is an easy-to-use impression material that is frequently used in dentistry to create situation models, opposing jaw models or planning models. The powder is sprinkled into a mixing bowl and then filled with the appropriate amount of water and mixed to a uniform consistency. The setting process can be slowed down with cold water and accelerated with warm water. After taking the impression, the impression tray is removed from the mouth, the impression is cleaned under running water and quickly poured out after a few minutes. If this is not possible, the impression must be kept moist, otherwise it will dry out. Alginate impressions should therefore not be used for definitive denture fabrications, as inaccuracies cannot be ruled out.
At Praxisdienst you will find high-quality alginate impression material from well-known brands and manufacturers at reasonable prices.
Other impression materials
Precise silicones are used for the fabrication of dentures. These rubber-elastic impression materials are mixed with a special activator and enable an exact reproduction of oral conditions, teeth and jaws.
Silicones are ideal for taking impressions of prepared teeth and can be easily disinfected. They are solvent-resistant, biocompatible and water-repellent. There are two different types of silicone: Condensation-curing and addition-curing materials. K-silicone impressions can be stored overnight, while A-silicone impressions can be stored indefinitely.
Impression tray for taking impressions
Impression trays are required so that an impression of the jaw can be taken. These are available for the upper and lower jaw and in different sizes and materials so that the right tray is available for the different jaw sizes. To ensure that the impression material adheres well to the tray, the impression trays have recesses and holes into which the material can be pressed. In addition, the prefabricated tray can be moistened with an adhesive to strengthen the bond.
In addition to the impression material, you will also find mixing aids in this category, which make it easier for you to mix and dose the materials.
