Bondings
Dentistry uses the term "bonding" for two different procedures. The first is dental bonding, in which tooth-colored plastic sheeting is applied to the teeth to remove minor blemishes such as discoloration or irregularities in the tooth surface while achieving whiter teeth. The second aspect of bonding refers to the dentist either touching up the teeth or covering them with tooth-colored composite filling material (also known as composite bonding or direct veneering) using an adhesive. Both methods aim to achieve an aesthetic enhancement of the teeth.
